The Project Business Foundation

The Project Business Foundation (PBF) is the home for professionals and organizations involved in project business. A community of project business professionals and organizations dedicated to help. The foundation is actively shaping the cooperative transformation from cross-functional to cross-company project management.
The Project Business Foundation was founded in 2019 as an independent professional association under Swiss Law. The Project Business Foundation is a non-profit association and open for all individuals and organizations, who want to address challenges in project business and identify new opportunities both as practitioners and experts. We set standards for project business management.

Our Vision
Digitization is driving the trend toward cross-company cooperation and outsourcing of parts or all of project management. The Project Business Foundation makes a significant contribution to ensuring that such cross-company projects can be realized effectively and efficiently.
Our Mission
The Project Business Foundation has built up the specific know-how to be able to give cross-company projects a framework that is fair and suitable for all parties involved. It ensures that this specific knowledge is further developed and imparted. In doing so, the Project Business Foundation focuses on the highest quality standards.
What We Do
As the leading community for project business, we stand for a lively dialogue around topics such as the economic framework, solving legal issues, helping to draw up contracts, or ensuring cross-organizational communication in the project. In addition, the Project Business Foundation has created a comprehensive certification program for appropriate levels of knowledge and experience around project business (coming soon).
We want your projects to be successful.
We want you to succeed.
Our Story
In the year 2019, a group of enthusiastic specialists came together to put the spot on an aspect of project management that is so far mostly ignored: PROJECT BUSINESS.
We observed the trend from cross-functional to cross-corporate projects, which increases agility of organizations, but also brings new challenges to project managers and their stakeholders.
To make these projects successful, the project managers have to become sucessful project business mangers with additional skills like
- business acumen,
- legal knowledge,
- relational contracting mission definition and
- communications beyond organizational borders.
This was not yet offered in the market. So we do.
